Creation of a “Virtual Research Room”

The Virtual Research Room (VRR) was established during the first funding phase of the MWW (2013–2019). The goal was to provide researchers with digital access to the collections of the partner institutions and offer interactive, computer-aided working possibilities for methodically innovative research perspectives. Since its inception, the VRR has served as a digital platform for the research projects conducted by the association. In cooperation with the Gesellschaft für wissenschaftliche Datenverarbeitung Göttingen (GWDG), the VRR was developed with the goal of someday becoming a universal research tool and site-independent, collaboration-based workplace for international humanities researchers and cultural studies scholars.
